Progress Report January 2007
The Community Health and Safety Panel has been involved in a range of projects in 2006.
The Panel played a pivotal role in the Family Awareness Day, held on 3rd June 2006 at the Rufus Centre in Flitwick. The Panel was highly involved in selecting which organisations took part in the day, vetting the venue to ensure it met the needs of the day and delegates who would be attending. The Panel has also been updated on the proposed changes by Mid and South Beds PCT, especially in relation to Steppingley Hospital.
The Panel has also been visited by officers from both Aragon and external organisations. Visitors have included David Giddings, Maintenance Manager at Aragon to update the Panel on the Maintenance department and Laura Pole, Geographical Information System (GIS) Officer at Aragon to update the Panel on what GIS stands for and how it can be used. The Panel was also visited by Craig Siddle of Mid Beds District Council to discuss their waste collection service and changes which have taken place.
