Housing & Development Panel
This group is busy and deals with the works programmes of Aragon, whether major refurbishment programmes or the maintenance and repairs of Aragon homes and what is done with empty properties. The Panel has also been involved in creating the contractors’ code of conduct and has been involved in the selection of Kitchen Fitment Suppliers.

The Housing and Development Panel have carried out a range of activities which have impacted on Aragon.
In 2006, the Panel has been visited by Aragon staff to talk about their role, including Mo Bornarsty, Aragon’s Quality Controller in the Property department. The Panel has looked at extending the existing handyman service, looked at the future of the decorating service and worked on the assisted gardening service and been updated on what new updates are taking place in the Development department.
The Panel has visited Rule and Parker, and Aragon contractor based in Cambs, and had an update from Vaillant on solar energy for heating properties, which may be trialled in the future. In 2007, the Panel will visit a completed development site to view the type of new properties Aragon is building, would like updates on the Maintenance department, Property department and cyclical maintenance plans. The Panel will also have an update on Shared Ownership and other similar schemes which Aragon provide. The Panel would also like to visit another contractor Aragon uses, to see the service they provide to Aragon.
