Housing Needs & Management Panel
This Panel discusses issues that involve the management of the housing needs and housing management services covered by Aragon. These include tenancy support, allocations policy, rent payments, domestic violence and homelessness. External agencies have spoken about issues covered, as well as presentations by internal staff to update Panel members on these issues.
Progress Report January 2007
The Housing Needs and Management Panel has covered a variety of subjects in 2006.
The subjects the Housing Needs & Management Panel has covered include consulting on the new Homelessness Tenancy Support leaflet and service, a session on Aragon’s Domestic Violence policy, training and information on Aragon’s Housing Needs department, discussions on rent payment options and an update on Anti-Social Behaviour and how Aragon addresses this issue.
In 2007, the Housing Needs and Management Panel will look at a variety of subjects, including rent setting and rent payment methods, Residents Associations (including how they are set up and how Aragon can support them), the tenancy support service and a further update on Anti-Social Behaviour towards the end of the year.
The Panel would also like to visit a MacIntyre property and a property with Assistive Technology to see how these properties compare to mainstream Aragon properties and the level of support such properties can give individuals to remain in their home.
