Energy, Efficiency & Environmental Panel
Issues for this Panel include recycling, water conservation, and energy savings for Aragon households. This Panel was responsible for the Environmental Awareness Day 2005, which was a great success and ensures energy, efficiency and environmental Issues remain a key focus for Aragon.
Progress Report January 2007
The Energy, Efficiency & Environmental Panel (also known as the 3 E’s Panel) has had a varied 2006.
In 2006, the Panel has reviewed the Environmental Awareness Day (held in November 2005), discussed tackling water shortages and recycling awareness, discussed shared facilities at sheltered schemes and been visited by a representative of the Energy Saving Trust to discuss ways to save energy within the home.
The Panel has also produced a ‘Warmer and Wiser This Winter’ article which was produced in Aragon’s Intouch magazine, and sent to all Aragon’s customers.
In 2007, the Panel aims to have another busy year, including having a visit from a recycling officer at Beds County Council, attend an energy saving workshop by Gordon Glass (possibly leading to some formal Energy Efficiency training, visiting the Ecohouse in Leicester and visiting a water treatment plant.
