Further Youth involvement
Harlington Youth Scheme
An initiative in partnership with Harlington Community Safety group, Bedfordshire Police and Aragon. It involves putting together a scheme for young people aged 12+ which will include small community based / voluntary jobs being scheduled on various dates and times. Young people who may be hanging about, at risk of getting involved in nuisance behaviour, will be referred to the scheme. The parents and young people will be told about the scheme and a consent form signed. The idea is for young people to get involved in their community and take part in a positive activity. It will be voluntary.
ACE
A new venue and activity programme for young people aged 10 – 12 years in Arlesey is currently being discussed. Adult volunteers will be needed to support ACE.
Massive Impact

A group of young people aged 14 -19 years who have a common interest in Skate Boarding and BMX riding. The group currently has twenty two members and meets fortnightly in Shefford. Their aim is to look at ways in which to ‘get’ a Skate facility in the area.
Langford Crew
A group of eighteen young people aged 11 - 21 years who spend most evenings in Langford Park. The group have been at the centre of various nuisance youth reports in recent months. The work that is being carried out with this group has been about discussing the issues, looking for solutions and engaging them in topical activities.
V Inspired!!
‘V’ Volunteers are young people who give up their free time to help their local communities. ‘V’ allows young people to build on their interests, to develop themselves and make a difference to their community at the same time.
‘V’ certificates are awarded in recognition of the contribution that ‘V’s make. There are currently seven ‘V’ Volunteers who work with the Community Development team at Aragon and they help to run, supervise or deliver some of the planned work.
