Shefford Community Safety Group
AIR Aragon Youth Panel took part in the Annual Shefford Gala Sunday 3rd June. They were joined by UNIQUE dance group and DJ Danny G who is a Millennium volunteer. Over the past month the young people have been meeting weekly to prepare display boards and create the theme for their float. They decided to use their project 'Anti Social Behaviour' awareness as the theme. The message that they were getting across was for people to think about their actions / understand what anti social behaviour is and how it impacts on the community.
The young people were up bright and early decorating their float, which was a 38ft trailer. DJ Danny G kept the Drum & Bass music booming, while AIR panel member Clayton entertained the crowd lining the street with his MCing. Both the AIR panel & UNIQUE dance young people waved and cheered along with the crowd.
The AIR float won a best float award and recieved a cash prize & certificate.
