Meet the Community Development Team
The Community Development Team works with Aragon customers and the wider communities to develop knowledge and skills and raise awareness on a whole range of issues. We also work with other agencies and organisations, including the Primary Care Trust and local authorities to share information of benefit to the community.
The Community Development Team (CDT), is made up of four members of staff:

Steve Hill
Community Development Manager
Steve has worked in the community for different organisations for 20 years, including Luton Borough Council and the Army at Chicksands. Steve has worked at Aragon since July 2005, bringing a wealth of knowledge of community and youth work with him. He grew up on Marsh Farm in Luton, and has many links within the community to this day. These links can help to show how a community working together can improve the services, opportunities and lives for individuals and groups within that community.

Nicola King
Youth & Community Participation Officer
Nicola joined Aragon in September 2006 and has been involved with youth work for 14 years in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. Nicola lives in Mid Beds and has already been working with the Equality and Diversity Panel to bring a youth aspect to what we do at Aragon. Nicola’s experience will help expand the diversity of our customer base. Some plans for the future include an art project, a sports project, setting up a tenants resource centre and working in partnership with other agencies.

Steve Nash
Community Development Officer
Steve has worked at Aragon since April 2002, and has a great deal of experience of community work – helping create and support Residents Associations, building links with other agencies and managing projects, including Open Days, arranging customer trips out to meet customers of other Housing Associations, arranging consultation meetings on Aragon estates, researching grant funding and expanding customer involvement.
The day after becoming a first aider, Steve helped save a couple and a dog from a burning flat.

Sasha McGregor
Community Consultation Officer
Sasha has worked at Aragon since November 2004, and has a training background. In this role, Sasha works with customers to consult on what Aragon does, and actively seeks to increase the number of customers who get involved with Aragon. This is through Themed Customer Panels, customer training, different forms of consultation and working with other agencies to arrange visits and the opportunity to share information.
Sasha has also been a volunteer on the local hospital radio.
