Foreword
This ‘Landlord Guide’ provides landlords with clear information. It is for existing landlords and those who are thinking about renting out a property.
The guide also provides information about the Home Choice Scheme (Rent Deposit and Rent In Advance) which Aragon Housing Association has introduced to assist in the expansion of the private rented sector and to encourage more landlords to let their properties to people who are claiming benefits or living on a low income. The scheme is funded by Mid Beds District Council.
It is hoped that the guide will encourage landlords to contact the association more often (and much earlier) when they need assistance.
We are already working very closely with a number of private landlords and letting agencies and we are keen to work with even more.
