From this month there will be some different faces around for many of our tenants as we have brought in new people to deal with many of our repairs.
It’s part of our bid to deliver above and beyond what are already recognised as high standards of customer care.
From now on well established company Jeakins Wier Ltd, who are setting up a depot in Flitwick, have taken over all day to day building repairs on our 6,500 homes. So if you have a problem with faulty plumbing for example you will see new faces turning upon your door to help you out.
At the same time another local company FSG Property Services Ltd took over the work we do to make sure homes which have been vacated are turned round in good time for the next person or family to move into.
Both firms are small to medium sized companies and together we are all working alongside Central Bedfordshire Council to provide the best service and value for money we can.
The two new contractors also benefit from having more staff on the ground to help you and also from the highest standards of IT which will make it as streamlined as possible for them to get to jobs quickly.
We would still encourage you to make sure you ask for ID from anyone who knocks on your door to carry out repairs and all our contractors will be carrying ID.
You’ll recognise the new firms who will all have vans with their own logos and of course our own.
They will be well briefed about whatever your problem might be by our newly formed Customer Services Team back at our headquarters in Ampthill, so they know as much as possible about the issue when they set out and can deal with it as fast as possible.
