How we are regulated

The Homes and Communities Agency(HCA) helps create successful communities by making more homes and business premises available to the residents and businesses who need them. They also regulate social housing providers in England.

Aragon as a Registered providers of social housing in England must meet regulatory standards set by the HCA. The standards are classified as either economic or consumer. 

Economic standards:

  • Governance and Financial Viability

  • Value for Money

  • Rent


Consumer standards:

  • Tenant Involvement and Empowerment
  • Home
  • Tenancy
  • Neighbourhood and Community

  • HCA Regulatory Judgement [pdf / 607KB] G1 and V1 awarded by the HCA in January 2013. In February 2014 the HCA published that Grand Union Housing Group maintained its G1 and V1 grading. As the grading is unchanged, the Regulator has not provided a new Regulatory report.
