Aragon residents score three awards nominations

Local social housing provider Aragon Housing Association is celebrating after being shortlisted for three awards.

Aragon’s customers have made it to the final of the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) Central awards which celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations that have made a significant impact in their communities.

The AIR Aragon Youth Consultants have been nominated for the Excellence in Youth Involvement Award while Aragon residents Joe Biney and Joanna Mayes are up for Tenant and Young Tenant of the Year respectively.

Aragon’s Head of Customer Service and Resident Involvement, Steve Hill said: “It is fantastic that so many of our involved residents are being recognised for all the time and effort they put in.

“Their hard work and dedication has paid off and this goes to show that our resident involvement team here at Aragon are helping our customers shine.”

The awards, across ten categories, recognise both individual and collaborative initiatives that have had made a real difference to people’s lives and their wider communities.

Michelle Reid, TPAS’ Chief Executive explains: “TPAS is passionate about connecting people to achieve great communities. In this era of co-regulation it is vital that tenants and landlords work together to achieve and sustain positive change and impact on their communities. The judges have been inspired by the number of exceptional projects and initiatives across Central England which have been catalysts for delivering real change.”

The TPAS Central Awards Final is being held on 12 April 2013 at St John's Hotel, Solihull, Birmingham.
