Straight Talking Team

What does the Straight Talking Team do? 

Aragon Housing Association's Straight Talking Team looks at information given to customers to make sure that it is clear and easy to read. They get involved by: 

  • giving feedback on documents to make sure they are written in plain English and are easy to understand
  • removing jargon
  • challenging staff to speak clearly when explaining details of maintenance repairs, renovations, decorations etc.


What information do they look at?

The team looks important information going to Aragon's customers. Some examples include:

  • policies and strategies

  • tenant, leaseholder and shared ownership handbooks

  • articles in Aragon's customer newsletter, Intouch

  • leaflets.


Who can get involved? 

Customers who are interested in becoming a member of the team  attend forums after looking through documents in their own time. These can be sent either via email or through the post.
