Stratosphere Youth Pub

Held on the last Wednesday of every month at the Stratton House Hotel in Biggleswade, between 7pm and 9pm, Stratosphere Youth Pub is a great opportunity for people aged between 12 and16 to meet up in an adult, but alcohol free, environment.

It was set up after local youth workers became concerned for the health and safety of young people who were drinking alcohol illegally. This had led to a variety of concerns and complaints.

The evenings are supervised by adults offering a variety of activities including lessons in how to DJ, dance, Wii exercises and games.

Other groups also provide information on how to stop smoking, tackling drugs, sensible drinking, sexually transmitted diseases and anti-social behaviour.

Around 60 young people have also been asked about places they would like to go and the kinds of activities they enjoy to help develop future ideas.
