Aragon - an unsurpassed record in customer participation

Aragon’s tenants are at the heart of everything we do, and we are proud of our record in involving them in all our operations. Our success in engaging with our tenants resulted in the achievement of a nationally recognised ‘Community Empowerment’ award at the UK Housing Awards 2005.

This vital partnership between landlord and tenant means tenants share the management and ownership of their homes with Aragon.

Around 200 tenants are actively involved in the decision-making process; they are instrumental in how our services are shaped and delivered and this was recognised by the Audit Commission inspection in 2004.

Five Aragon tenants are elected to the main Board, while 12 sit on the Customer Committee. Tenants also comprise nine themed Customer Panels, which we consult on policies and ideas.
