Shortly after you move into your new home you will be contacted by a member of the Retirement Housing Team who will arrange a meeting to draw up a support plan. This is an opportunity for you to talk about and agree the support you need.
If our staff are unable to help you themselves, they might refer you to a specialist agency who can. We will always ask your permission before passing your details onto anyone else.
Some examples of support you may need include:
The aim of the support plan is to help you achieve specific goals. It will also include information about how often we contact or visit you and how you would like us to do this. Your plan will be reviewed if your circumstances change, or if you ask us to do so, and as a minimum, once every 12 months.
Retirement staff are also responsible for keeping an eye on the maintenance of the buildings and communal areas within schemes, and will also explain how the alarm service works including testing the alarm equipment. In an emergency staff will contact relatives, doctors or emergency services as appropriate.
