Resident Involvement Statement 2008/09

 Developing a culture of involvement

Aragon Housing Association believes that residents should be at the heart of everything that we do. Our aim is to develop a culture of involvement that underpins our day-to-day work. Aragon is committed to involving as many residents as possible in the way we provide services to the community.

“Providing quality homes and services to meet the needs of the community.”

Aragon understands that we are accountable to our residents and the wider communities we serve and we strive to facilitate resident involvement at all levels. Aragon’s business plan states that:

“We aim to work towards sustainable communities, we place our tenants and customers at the heart of everything we do and we are proud of involving them in all our operations.”

Aragon is dedicated to improving resident satisfaction with our services. We believe that involving residents in setting standards and providing feedback is the best way to deliver more cost-effective, appropriate and responsive services.

We want to give all our customers the opportunity to have their say; therefore we offer a menu of opportunities to allow residents to become involved, from completing a survey to becoming a member of the Association’s Board.

We have a dedicated and democratically elected Customer Committee that meets on a regular basis for a variety of purposes, such as policy consultation, reviewing and approving our leaflets, and to give feedback and receive performance information.
