Numbers not names

Please could we ask that you always use your rent reference number, rather than your name, when making rent payments via on-line banking. There can be many accounts under the same or similar name and it takes a lot of time matching payments up with the right rent account. In the meantime the money sits in a suspense account instead of the correct rent account.

Please check your rent statements carefully for missing payments and contact us on 0300 123 5544 if any payments are not showing.  Please remember to use your rent reference number in all transactions.


Rent in advance

Rent must be paid in advance, in accordance with your tenancy agreement or lease. This means your rent account must not be in arrears between payments regardless of how you pay, e.g. weekly, fortnightly or monthly payments.

This also applies if you are in receipt of housing related benefits such as Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.

If you cannot afford to clear rent arrears in full, please contact us to discuss an affordable plan to make regular payments until such time your account is always in credit.

Paperless Direct Debits (Aragon and SNH only)

We’ve moved to paperless Direct Debits so we’ll be able to take Direct Debit instructions over the phone from Aragon and SNH customers.

Acknowledgements should follow in three days but please allow 10 working days for the Direct Debit to be activated.
