Supporting you to live in your home

Your Supported Housing Officer will visit you on a regular basis to:
  • make sure you keep to rules of your tenancy/licence agreement
  • make sure you receive the benefits you are entitled to
  • make sure broken things get fixed in your home
  • support you with any issues you may have
  • carry out health and safety checks on your home
  • review your support plan
  • keep you updated on any events
  • talk with you, your family and/or care/support providers
  • go to regular tenant meetings

The Supported Living Forum

This forum is for our tenants to discuss and make decisions about the  encourage promotes all our Supported Living, Independent Living, Retirement, Extra Care, Domestic Violence Refuges and CASS Supported Living services

Through the forum, tenants are involved with the creation of policies and procedures used by encourage promotes all our Supported Living, Independent Living, Retirement, Extra Care, Domestic Violence Refuges and CASS Supported Living.

The forum meets every three months to discuss how the service can move forward.

Keeping you safe

The  encourage promotes all our Supported Living, Independent Living, Retirement, Extra Care, Domestic Violence Refuges and CASS team think it is very important to keep our Supported Living tenants safeAbuse of any kind should not be allowed and we will help both staff and tenants to report any incident.

Abuse can be:

  • financial –  for example someone taking or using your money without your permission or withholding your money
  • physical –  for example hurting you and causing an injury
  • emotional –  for example pretending to be your friend in return for something or witholding attention
  • psychological –  for example making you feel guilty about saying no or putting you down
  • institutional –  for example not allowing you to make choices of your own.

Your Supported Housing Officer

The Supported Housing Officer will support you to:

  • claim welfare benefits
  • create a budget plan
  • ensure repairs are reported and completed to a good standard
  • support you to stay safe and secure within and outside of your home
  • support you to report worries and concerns under safeguarding guidelines
  • assist with understanding the rules of the tenancy agreement and support with being a good neighbour
  • have regular meetings to discuss what is good or bad about the service or scheme
  • speak to you, your family or advocate to make sure you have a choice
